What If I Don’t Get It?
Reading scripture and understanding the “whys” certain events are recorded, how acts can be justified, and what we should learn from passages can be challenging. Over millennia hermeneutics (the interpretation of scriptures) have been carefully assembled, dissected, and redacted creating what we read today. Ancient writings typically purposed the function, or story, over pristine details. What was important to these scribes was the “takeaway” from what was captured. Certainly, portions of scripture are applicable for retrieving “it says this and it means that”. As you proceed in your AMAZING Bible Journey, continue to use the “Links, Videos, and Podcasts” link at the top of every page to access additional content that will address some of these questions. Also, pray before you read and ask God to allow the scriptures to penetrate your heart. This is your journey so remain vigilant - the story only gets better with time.
